Two seasoned producers team up to create modern synthwave with elements of pop and techno. Ben Metcalf is an experienced DJ and Roberto Montoya is an experimental rock vocalist, together they introduce Betamax Dub Machine.

 

Ben started making music in 2001 under the name DJ Elite. His first release was a remix of DJ Dan's Zipper Track which was a big favorite of Carl Cox. Since then Ben has had numerous releases and been supported by some of the world's biggest DJs. After a break from music and a move from the UK to Canada, Ben's back in the studio making music.

 

Roberto is the lead vocalist, songwriter, and driving force behind the experimental rock collective Icons of Industry. He works with musicians from around the world to create dynamic music with texture and melody. As a theologian, his lyrics touch on subjects like science, history, and the human condition. His music is featured on television and radio stations in the US, Canada, and the UK. 

 

Their latest music video recently won Best Music Video at this year's Edmonton Short Film Festival.
