Lavallette is a retrowave duo from the Jersey Shore (NJ, USA).  Their music has been described as "a deep mixture of hope, melancholy and a sort of achingly beautiful nostalgia" and "catchy and melodic with strong vocal performances and a high quality take on classic synthwave sounds."

Dan was introduced to Sophia through Dan's brother, Steve.  Steve and Sophia attended the same performing arts school in Berea, Ohio.  After writing a few songs, they realized they were onto something and Lavallette was born.  The name Lavallette comes from a small beach town at the Jersey Shore where Dan spent summers as a kid.
