An Interview With The Keplerians - EDM Dance Pop Band

The Keplerians are RR 14-775 and RF 14-703, whose technology has allowed them to perform, produce and mix their own EP from their mothercraft in Lisbon, Portugal. The visitors also present another gift to Earthlings - the 'Casa' livestream, broadcast from their mothership, on which they channel stellar goodness from their recently released 'Casa' EP.

How did you start making music?

We discovered music very shortly after we landed on Earth for the first time. We felt it was like some sort of magic because it was everywhere, but it couldn't be seen or touched. We then decided to put a lot of our energy into learning it, and that's how it all started!

What was the thought process like with your first 2 EPs?

The process was the same for both EPs, we first thought about a specific message that we felt was relevant to pass through. Afterwards, moving into the music creation process, we'd start with a base beat and bass line (as we feel those are like the soil), and step by step adding other sounds in order to make it grow, synths, guitars, orchestra, and in some cases vocals.

The Casa Live stream on your YouTube channel is really cool and fun to watch. Where did you come up with the idea for them?

We figured that our keplerian appearance would most likely shock some earthlings, so we decided to do the live stream directly from our spaceship :)

I love the messages behind your music. How import Is it that we all understand the concept?

We believe that it's not essential to understand the concept as we feel that music has the power to communicate what is not possible by using words. There is a great deal of energy and abstract feelings that we believe is transmitted by music alone. However, understanding the concept behind the music we're creating helps to materialize the messages we hope to get through. One can probably understand better the full scope of the work by knowing the concept, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's not possible to enjoy and just dance to it while not knowing anything about it at all...

Where can we find your music?

Our music is available on most music platforms on Earth, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube and many others.

What social media platforms are you on?

You can find us on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

What can we expect from the Keplerians for the rest of 2022?

Are there any announcements we can make at this time?

We're excited and happy with the music we released so far, and we're at the moment conceptualizing and planning our next releases, but we want to do it with no pressure. It is important to us that the music we release is meaningful. We will be back for sure; we just don't know when yet.

Keep up with The Keplerians
