Visionary Synthpop Artist Tee Dee Dees RELEASES ‘Lollipops’

Indie synth-pop musician Tee Dee Dees has released his latest single, ‘Lollipops’ on the 11th of February 2022.

The single will appear on his upcoming album, 1^2=1 which was produced by Ben Shopen and is scheduled for release this year.

The album also features the previously released singles, Slim Bears and ‘War’ which received an official remix from renowned wave producer Juche. Tee Dee Dees has received support from CLASH Magazine, Metal Magazine, CLOUT Magazine, God Is In The TV and Absolute Radio’s Frank Skinner as well as the Trap Nation YouTube channel amongst others.

Born and based in Tel-Aviv, Ori Mark spent some time living in Boston before he would go on to follow his passion for the written word, becoming editor in chief at Haaretz Magazine. Tee Dee Dees is the solo project of Ori Mark, although he enlisted Tomer Z (of the UK-Israeli band Blackfield) for drums on the album. The musician has performed at all of the major stages in Tel-Aviv and more recently at the Kolorádó Festival in Budapest, which featured well-known acts from around the world such as Alice Phoebe Lou, HUNEE, and Black Midi. While creating his own light sound, Tee Dee Dees is inspired by the upbeat stylings of Django Django and MGMT. His own work calls to mind the likes of well-known acts such as Interpol, Placebo and Depeche Mode.

Boldly claiming 2022 as his own, Tee Dee Dees starts the year with a high-energy bang with his latest single. ‘Lollipops’ is filled with confidence, affection for the little things in life and that iconic cow-bell bringing all the good vibes.

Tee Dee Dees tells us about the creation of ‘Lollipops’: “Four years ago, after I wrote this song, I came to the studio and recorded one take of the vocals (while I was lying on the sofa), just so we’ll have a guiding voice for the production process. When the work was almost over and it was time for the real singing, we discovered (after about 100 takes) that I can’t recreate the feel of the first draft. We decided to use the draft, even though it was recorded as if we were amateurs. Since then, for me, this song is about special sweet moments that you can’t recreate on demand”.
