A confluence of musicianship and production stemming from both coasts, Woves emits a blacklight from between the darker folds of the alt-wave scene.

The trio unite their respective influences to create thematic indie-electronic songs, reminiscent of a drive through the neon lights of nostalgic nights. Ricchio and Wade layer palpitating synths and opalescent guitars with analog drum machines underneath Zuzik’s seductive and mesmerizing alto, weaving threads of every color in and around the confines of every song.

Here is the story of when your crazy ex calls in the middle of the night and you have finally learned not to pick up. It brings up all the good and bad and messed up shit you have been through a million times thinking it will be different. But it’s the start of a new direction.

Lyrics:

1 am, 1 am, I see you called at 1 am…

I see you called at 1 am. I knew better not to take it.

That familiar rush again. Not too sure if I’ll make it.

Feels so good going down, leaves me hanging in the morning.

I want to listen to your every sound, throw away the warning.

I see you called at 1 am. They say bad news comes at night.

But I’m done with that storyline even when I see the light.

But you always make it hard to walk away completely

I can’t take these little lies, can’t commit so freely…

Can’t commit so freely…

I see you called at 1 am…

When will you stop with your chaos?

Maybe I need to block your calls now to keep from getting so lost.

I see you called at 1 am.

Lingering conversations

Cigarettes by street light lines, mental examinations

Fleeting moments in the night, followed by silent weekdays

Nothing that will make it right, only filled with bleak days

I see you called at 1 am, this doesn’t make things easy.

I see you called at 1 am, this doesn’t make things easy.

I see you called at 1 am,

I see you called at 1 am, this doesn’t make things easy.
